Gmail users can take a few easy steps to ensure mail is routed to the inbox by creating a new filter.

1. Click the settings option located in the top right corner of your display.
2. Select the Filtered and Blocked Addresses tab.
3. Depending on the number of filters you have, scroll down, and select the ‘Create a new filter’ option. This will open a small window containing several basic options.
4. To filter by from email address, enter the senders email into the From field then select Create Filter.
5. Select Never send it to Spam to ensure all of sender’s mail reaches the inbox.

If  you have already received email from the sender’s address, you can highlight that message in the Bulk folder and mark it as Not Spam. This action goes a long way with Yahoo as it will automatically allow future messages from the same address into your inbox. Additionally, you can add the From email address to the address book by selecting the ‘Add to contacts’ button.

When Outlook delivers mail into the junk folder, two steps are required.

1. Select the ‘Not junk’ option located at the upper menu of your display.
2. Select More Actions option (three horizontal dots located in the right corner) then select Add to Safe senders.

1. Open the message and select the Junk option.
2. Select Never Block Sender or Not Junk. If you select Not Junk a popup option will appear with a checkbox that reads ‘Always trust email from ‘sender address’.

If legitimate email is forwarded to junk, your subscriber can take two of the following actions:

1. Open the junk folder, find the message and move the message into the inbox.
2. Open the message and tap the From email address then tap Create New Contact to input the address in the contacts list.

1. Open an email from the sender that you want to safelist.
2. Tap the picture of the sender.
3. Tap OK to add to contacts.

To safe list all emails from a domain in the Mail app for Mac OS X or Mac OS:

1. In the top menu, click Mail > Preferences.
2. Click the Rules tab.
3. Click Add Rule.
4. Enter a name in the Description field, such as “Safelist:” to create the new rule.
5. For conditions, set the first dropdown menu item to any. It should say: If any of the following conditions are met.
6. In the following dropdown menus, select From in the first field and Ends with in the second field.
7. In the text field following Ends with, enter the domain name that you want to safelist. Include “@” before the domain name to make the filter specific—for example, to safelist all mail from example.com domain, but not mail that might come from one of its subdomains (such as @subdomain.example.com), type “@example.com” into the field.
8. Click the plus sign next to the last condition to add another domain with the same criteria if you want to whitelist more domains.
9. In the Perform the following actions section, set the three dropdown items to: Move Message, to the mailbox: Inbox (or any target folder you want).
10. Click OK to save the rule.

Add contact to the Thunderbird address book using the following steps:

1. Click Personal Address Book.
2. Click New Contact.
3. Enter the email address within the Email field. When you’re done click OK.
